NBA Signs New Media Contract...KRW 105 trillion for 11 years
The National Basketball Association (NBA) is planning to sign the highest amount of media contracts for the longest period ever.
"The NBA's longest-ever media contract of $76 billion about 104.8952 trillion won will start from the 2025-26 season."
"NBA games will continue to be broadcast on ESPN and ABC, and some will be on NBC and Amazon Prime. TNT Sports could be kicked out," the media said. "This contract only leaves the approval of the NBA's board of directors."
With this contract, the salary cap per team total salary cap may increase by up to 10 percent every year. If the team continues to grow, some players could be paid 100 million U.S. dollars a year by the mid-2030s. í í ì¬ì´í¸
Global sports media ESPN reported, "Players such as Shy Gilgers-Alexander Oklahoma City Thunder and Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks) can earn $80 million about 110.3 billion won in annual salaries in the 2030-31 season."
Currently, Stephen Curry Golden State Warriors is known to receive $55 million about 75.9 billion won in the 2024-25 season.
